Don't know the answer, but maybe someone will add to the thread if I start you off at the front wheel arches where the bumper is screwed together to the inner wheel arch lining...

 

from WIS....

open hood

raise the car

remove center grille (lift slightly to loosen bottom, pull forward and down so the spring clips loosen)

remove side grilles by bending up the lower clips so they loosen and lifting

remove battery cover

remove turn signals

remove headlights

remove the screws holding the bumper shell to the bumper member (looks like 3 screws on each side of the grill)

remove the washer nozzles by pressing in the clips on both sides with 2 small chisels (press the clip down so it releases and the nozzle can be removed, check that the clip locks correctly...if not use a new clip)

remove the screws holding the bumper shell to the fender liners (dont remove the liners though)

remove the spoiler shield (skid plate)

remove the 5 circular clips above the grill portion of the bumper cover

unplug the fog light connectors and the temperature sensor connector if fitted

first loosen the outer corners of both sides of the bumper so that they release from the fender liners

loosen the bumper from the side and pull out the 6 tabs from the attachments
remove bumper shell

For 02-05. Can post the rest of the part numbers if you need them.

 

Straying off the topic only a little bit...you know the 2001 and older headlights will not fit with that bumper right?

 

Straying off another bit, are you selling the old headlights, foglights and drivers side indicator?

 

He is not changing the headlights or sidelights :nono;

And of course if anything were to be for sale it would be in the Saab Central classifieds......have a look

 

Didn't know that you could fit the new bumper with the old lights

 

the headlights will fit the new style bumper. but the metal bumper (not the outer skin) needs to have the old headlight wiper mounting tabs removed to make the new style bumper cover fit properly.

Hey guys, thanks for the reply's and the step by step instructions. I think I will have a go, doesnt seem to complicated. Was going to get it done from Weston (chris's friend) but he's just to far from me. Time to bring out the Tool kit me thinks
