Does anyone have a to-scale drawing file of the rubber dash fascia?

I'd like to make a new one, mine is pretty much destroyed, useless for making a template. Don't want to buy one just to make a template from it...

I made a wood dash for my vert and I did not like the maple after I was done and have since purchased Burl Veneer.

This is the original one I cut and is going to be the template to cut the Burlwood.

I can trace this out and send it to you if you like...

I've never tried what you've done.
I ask about contact cement because it closely resembles the stuff the factory used. It came as a heavy layer of that kind of adhesive with a waxed paper peel-off cover. It works on kitchen counters, they get pretty hot sometimes. There must be specialty products from restoration suppliers.
Have you looked in Hemming's Motor News? If you're not familiar with them, become so.
I have no experience with this kind of thing. I saw it done when I worked on antique cars, but that was never my specialty. They used a lot of stuff that looked and smelled like contact cement.

Better than brush-on because you don't get lumps.
Spot On!

I was wondering about the lumps. I used DAP Wellwood contact cement initially; however, I never installed as I dodn't like the maple look, so I decided it would make the perfect template for the Burlwood.

When I pulled up the veneer I noticed on the underside, although it was spread with a brush, there were spots on the backside that were missing glue and I was sre I covered the entire area.

Off to get the 3M headliner spray glue to finish the job;ol;.

The Burlwood looks Amazing!....

Thanks Paul
