What's New on-site...
It’s seems spring, or is that an early summer has arrived! The weather recently has been fantastic with lots of people taking advantage of the unusually good weather to enjoy some open top motoring. Saab has announced the release of the all new 9-3 Convertible, which will be available in showrooms later this year.
Also coming to the North American market early next year will be the Saab 9-2, based on the Subaru WRX chassis, it promises to be an exciting addition to the Saab range.
March 2003 was yet another record month for SaabCentral with site visitors increasing to over 88,000 and over 8,000,000 page hits, which again confirms Saabcentral as the largest independent U.K. based Saab website.
Since the last newsletter several Saabcentral events have taken place. The Power engineering rolling road day in Uxbridge Middlesex on 22/03/02 was a great success with a good turnout. The competition was intense, but Pete (Tandino) re-established his status as the Classic 900 ‘daddy’ and Mark with Bubbles blew the 9000 competition away! Thanks again to Pete for organizing the event.
Saturday 05/04/03 saw the fifth successive Kodak car Club meet, which for the first time was a combined Saabcentral and Saab Owners club event. It was easily the most well attended meeting to date, with over thirty cars being seen during the day. The garages were also busy all day with various repairs and upgrades taking place.

General News
Hopefully with the worst of winter now past and March only a few weeks away, it will be spring before we know it! January 2003 was yet another record month for SaabCentral with site visitors increasing to over 82,000 and over 8 million hits. That’s in increase of well over 100% in the last six months, which again confirms Saabcentral as the largest U.K. based independent Saab website. Saabcentral recently been featured in the press again. This Sunday just gone, Saabcentral was featured in the UK's 'Sunday Times' motoring section. Thanks go out to everyone who visits and contributes to Saabcentral for helping us achieve this notoriety.
There are several SaabCentral meetings planned in the near future, with the first being the Power engineering rolling road day in Uxbridge, Middlesex on Saturday the 22nd March where many Saabcentral regulars will be fighting it out on the rolling road to see who is pushing out the most Bhp. Thanks to Pete (Tandino) for organizing this event. Pete’s highly tuned Classic 900 will be one of the top contenders for the crown, although personally I’ve got my money on Matt Faulks Classic 900 to win!
Next up, on Saturday the 5th April we have the fifth successive Kodak car Club meet. For the first time this meeting will be a combined Saabcentral and Saab Owners club event, with the SOC Technical advisor -- Richard Elliot being on site to offer free advice. We also plan to have Krypton tuning available for £5.00 per car, the club shop will also be open for a short period of time offering consumable items such as oil at trade prices. More information can be found online at SaabCentral or in the forthcoming March/April edition of the SOC’s bi-monthly ‘Driver’ magazine.
