Default XWD has landed in the states

Just a heads up, our dealership has recieved 2 XWD Aeros yesterday (a manual and an automatic) I can't believe we got these ahead of the Turbo X's we have coming to us.
ANYWAY its awesome to know they are here. First glance it is apparent they are taller than the standard 9-3, but the nice wheels make up for it. Will have pix soon!

That's amazing news. I don't think Saab USA even announced pricing on these. Did you have a chance to look at the window sticker?

Holy Moly! I thought non-turbo XWD 9-3s were not going to be available until at least September....

Please share pics and pricing when you can...

Too bad you can not get the Aero trim Sportcombi in white. You would have to snatch up a 2.0T sportcombi or even an Aero convertible for that color to be available.

You can go www.edmunds.com, select FWD Aero as your trimline, price with options, and take xwd as an option. Additional price is $2,645 (MRSP for SC).

Just an FYI, that Aero has a couple packages on it that put it just over $40,000. Im surprised we got these before the Turbo X (both of our Turbo Xs are sold)

Wow, the wheels do nothing for that car and it definitely needs a drop. It looks like it sits higher than my Arc with the sport package.

not a lot of room to drop though because of the fact that the awd diff is not intergrated into the frame fully from what I read of AWD models...

Why do car makers put lousy tires on great cars?? The Michelin Pilot HX MXM4 are an all-season Grand Touring tire. These seem even worse than the Pirelli P6.. Great on a Buick and maybe even a 2.0T but on an Aero XWD?

Reviews on Tirerack are pretty bad.

Great pictures, those wheels are awesome.

Can't say I really like how that looks. Seems very basic for an Aero

I'm quite shocked myself. I heard they sat higher, but that thing just...doesn't look right? I have seen the FWD Aero and that things looks great compared to this.

But there is got to be something that the car is not settled in? Right?

Oh, and I can't believe Saab dropped that rear spoiler. Makes a real big difference!

That bugs me too, I love the Aero lip spoiler. Want to know the real killer? I saw a new Chevy Malibu yesterday and they have the exact same door pulls as the 9-3, it won't take long for the uninitiated to realize that Saab shares parts with GM. At least it was previously hidden under the hood....

See the resemblance? Look at the door handles and B-pillar ...
