Quality

The solid quality of the Saab 9000 will impress you as soon as you step into the car. Many years of methodical work have gone into achieving this high standard. The minutest detail has been critically inspected in Saab’s meticulous quality control system. A vast amount of work has been done on the visible parts— and even more on those you will never see. All of this ensures that the performance and quality of the car will remain unblemished by many years of service.

The production of the Saab 9000 has been structured to achieve the very high standard of quality we have set out to attain. This structuring extends from the computer programs we have prepared for the assembly work, right up to final quality control.

Autonomous working groups assemble the Saab 9000 in short production lines, and they are re sponsible for fitting as well as inspection. The “zero fault principle" is applied, i.e. no car or component is allowed to leave the working group area before it has been inspected and approved.
